Bronwen Dunn is Blazing New Trails
"I moved to a new city right before the pandemic hit and not knowing anyone while stuck in your home does become quite a hurdle to overcome. It is a hurdle, but not an insurmountable obstacle, and it is one that brings determination, drive and unmeasurable hope to overcome!
One way to do that is through connection, to reach out to others and bring people together with common interests. Currently, I’m a partner with the work of Francis + Benedict and want to bring our mission to the upstate as well as further the reach across the United States.
Katie Walters, CEO and co-founder, started the company in 2015 and we are just 5 years young already making a wide impact. I am working to build new business partners, broadening my team with new advocates as well as host trade fairs with other local entrepreneurs to spread the word and grow the business which ultimately aids Togo, West Africa.
This is the heartbeat of the business and all things funnel back to break the cyclical barriers of poverty and provide greater resources for life-sustaining change in the Togolese community.
We are able to do that through bringing people into the mission, employing people with various skills, by growing the business through creative outlets, sharing the story, and by wearing the beautiful hand-made products.
There is a skirt for everyone and you share the story just by wearing the skirt. That’s why we say our products are “More than just a skirt”, we are so much more!"
💚 A special thanks to Bronwen Dunn of Francis + Benedict for sharing how she's Blazing New Trails this year! 💚
