Davida Roach is Blazing New Trails
"I am blazing new trails by changing the trajectory in my life and for my family. My mother and father divorced when I was young because my father was abusive and having an affair. From this, I never saw what real love was supposed to look like. All I attracted was toxic relationships and so I became toxic towards myself. I didn’t love me for me. It wasn’t until I lost my youngest sister from domestic violence when she was just 18. It hurt me deeply but it also taught me that if we aren’t empowered and educated on toxic relationships, we become victims. Just existing and not living.
I decided two years ago that I was going to be the change that myself and my family needed to see. I created a nonprofit organization for domestic violence awareness and I often host events teaching women the importance of self love. I also created a wig business because hair styling is my passion and when I am able to, I donate wigs to domestic violence shelters. When we don’t look good, we don’t feel good and my purpose is to change that. Last thing I created was a wellness platform sharing with my audience products that are beneficial to their self care. Empowering women through beauty and education is my way of blazing new trails for women of all ages."
