In this interview with Dielle Charon of Dielle Charon Coaching, she shares her insight on how honesty and passion have helped her embody her leadership role.

What do you think is your greatest strength as a leader & why?

My greatest strength as a leader is my ability to have honest communication and to trust my hires to do their jobs well. I am not micromanaging them, but I trust them as the expert to perform well. They know I will have honest and clear feedback and they can feel as though they know exactly what is expected. I also think that as a leader, I model that what we do is not just monetary, but a movement. This models the purpose and the vision and allows them to understand what we are working towards.

What is one characteristic that you believe every leader should embody & why?

Passion. I model having passion for this work. I show when I need to work a few long days, but also when I need rest to give my all to these clients. This is important so that the whole company has this same mindset and knows to think about what the movement needs. Leaders need to embody the passion so that this becomes a standard. Notice I did not say hard work. Working to death can lead to burnout. Instead, we want passion that is sustainable and captivating.

What are the most important decisions you make as a leader of your organization?

I think the decisions of where to go next. I need to think through what we pour our time and finances into. This means I need a clear vision, purpose, and space to make decisions from an area of peace.
