How Confident Leaders Inspire Innovation

Leadership is about more than just delegating tasks and making decisions- it's about inspiring and motivating your team to achieve great things. Leaders who exude confidence and optimism, even in the face of uncertainty, can create a work environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.

In this interview with Kristen Szpaka of A Nanny Match, we'll learn the importance of confidence and optimism in leadership, and how these qualities can inspire your team to push boundaries and create new solutions. Whether you're leading a small team or a large organization, confidence and optimism can help you create a culture of innovation and drive your company towards success.

What do you think is your greatest strength as a leader & why?

Confidence; because it inspires trust and creates a positive atmosphere where people can thrive. A confident leader is assertive and can take charge when necessary and deliver straightforwardly. Confidence typically equates to optimism which can result in risk taking and innovation.

What is one characteristic that you believe every leader should embody & why?

Empathy; because it’s imperative to be able to acknowledge and align with your audience, customers, and employees.

What are the most important decisions you make as a leader of your organization?

I am responsible for making all of the important decisions in the organization including how to delegate so my decisions are supported by a team I trust. Some of these decisions include how to effectively and efficiently source, recruit, and vet nannies, how our company should be branded, innovation to the services we provide to help set us apart from competition, and how to best manage our client and candidate experience.

Meet Kristen: Kristen Szpaka established A Nanny Match in 2015 to bridge the gap between an outdated traditional agency structure and unregulated online platforms with a more personalized and mindful approach to sourcing great nannies and matching them with great families.

Kristen has over 20 years of experience in the nanny industry and a background in recruiting, teaching, and customer service. Working in Chelsea art galleries, she excelled in customer care with high-profile clients. As a teacher, she studied child development and worked with families of all backgrounds. She was a nanny in NYC for ten years before founding A Nanny Match, which helps her understand the difference between a good nanny and a great nanny.

With the help of her highly skilled team, A Nanny Match focuses on providing the most personalized approach to matchmaking by working closely with our families and the selected nannies we represent. We have a caring approach to working with people and are mindful of each family’s unique needs.

Kristen is sensitive to the needs of children, parents, and childcare providers. She values hard work, providing superior service, and building strong relationships. She is proud to be a female founder and consistently creates new standards for the childcare industry.
