"My pivot happened after the speaking industry crashed seemingly overnight. Since my work is in launching and building public speaker brands, I felt the heat immediately.
Knowing the industry would come back, I made a decision to pivot and give people what they wanted and needed since everyone was home and had the capacity to learn virtually.
I asked my audience what they wanted and the answer was clear that people wanted to understand how to build their speaker brand, book gigs, and do their own PR. So I built an online course around it.
I ended up going from losing 60 percent of my income the first 8 days of COVID to having the most successful months of my business ever.
It's important during uncertain times to remember this: ask your audience what they want, and have the courage to try something new and create it.
We all have such valuable knowledge, sometimes we have to adjust the sails on how we deliver it."
