Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day and I think we could all use a little more kindness in the world, don’t you?

Random Acts of Kindness are selfless acts to either help or cheer up another person, for no reason other than to make someone happier.

So I’m issuing a challenge to you and the TRIBE! Can you do 3 Random Acts of Kindness this week for fellow entrepreneurs?!

To get you started here are several ideas that are easy to implement and high on impact.

  • Send a note of encouragement to a fellow business owner. It can be a lonely grind out here as an entrepreneur and encouragement isn’t always growing on trees. So take a few minutes to write an email, DM, or a snail-mail letter to a fellow business owner and let her know that you see just how hard she’s working!

  • Write a Google review for a business you know and love. This simple act of kindness takes about 1 minute and goes a long way in helping us gain street credibility for our work. Find the Google business page for a fellow entrepreneur and write a raving 5 star review for her!

  • Buy a cup of coffee for your fellow coffee-shop work warrior. It’s well known that the coffee shop is every entrepreneur’s second home or office! So look around and find a fellow boss babe and surprise her with a cup of coffee. You can also do this in a drive through and pay for the person behind you in line!

  • Give your old books away. Chances are your bookshelf is loaded with self-help and professional development books that were really meaningful for you at one time. So if you haven’t opened that book in a while and have no plans of reopening it anytime soon, give it away to a fellow entrepreneur who could benefit from the knowledge!

  • Make a loan to a woman-owned business via Kiva. With just $25 you can help someone make her dreams of entrepreneurship a reality. This is something we do every single month and to date we’ve issued 230 loans in 66 countries totaling $5750. Join the Hatch Tribe Lending Team right here and let’s create some good in the world!

And let’s get real. Sometimes kindness is simply…

  • Making eye contact.

  • Smiling.

  • Holding the door.

  • Letting someone go first.

  • Giving a hug.

You ready to spread some kindness? This week your challenge is to do 3 Random Acts of Kindness for a fellow entrepreneur!

Let’s spread kindness, this week and every week.
