7 Female Business Leaders We Love to Follow on Instagram

Lady Bosses are rocking Instagram right now! Thank you @oprah, @winonaryderoffiical and @emmawatson. But it’s not just the big names.  

One of the greatest things about Instagram is that it offers connection with neighborhood businesses as well as celebrities, fempreneurs just launching as well as international political leaders.

Here at the Tribe, we’re all about uplifting and connecting. Yes, it’s easy to fall into the FOMO trap when Becky With the Good Hair is constantly ‘gramming her $15 avocado toast and Bali vacays. But let’s build each other up and get inspired instead! 

In that spirit, these are seven women we love to see in our feed.

Her posts are like a breath of fresh air, a light and airy “hello” to brighten your day and inspire your next meal.

Actually a two-woman team, this company’s mission is to empower survivors of human trafficking. They do it through advocacy, education, and adorable tote bags.

Why we love following them:

The totes are cute, but the best thing is that we always learn something—statistics about human trafficking, how to combat it, and where to shop so that our money makes a difference in the lives of women worldwide.

What’s her deal:

She’s the founder and CEO of Outdoor Voices, an athletic clothing company geared towards real people doing their real daily activity. That means she’s all about brands being bigger than their profits.

Why we love following her:

She takes #fitspo and actually makes it inspiring instead of shaming. It feels like a motivating friends is just popping in to say, “hey! Wanna try on some cute clothes and then go for a walk?”

Girls can rock STEM classes, and they can go way further too—that’s the driving belief behind this company. It empowers girls who code, connects young women with mentors and internships, and spreads the word at tech companies that girls deserve a spot at the coding table.

Why we love following them:

Inspirational quotes give us a boost on the daily, and they’re great for re-sharing with your own tribe. Plus, it’s inspiring to see young women coding and the established lady bosses that support them.
